"Jake The Film" charts the journey of a boy learning to out-create his obstacles to attain a dream. "Jake" is a feature-length documentary about a high school senior with Asperger's who attends a special needs high school in the SoHo district of New York City and aspires to become a professional filmmaker and storyteller. This coming of age story follows Jake through his senior year of high school and beyond as he works towards fulfilling his biggest goal in life - to make his first feature film. As Jake approaches graduation, there are a lot of questions about what comes next as he phases out of the comfortable bubble of high school into a world that is not necessarily understanding. For Jake however, the path is clear. A creative force to be reckoned with, what Jake lacks in experience he makes up with passion and you find yourself routing for him to make it big.
